I am a surfer, but I don't live near the ocean (Though I wish I could!). I surf whenever I can, and I hope to go to a college by the sea and surf then. Also, I am going to save up my money for trips there. Maybe you should save enough money for a trip to the beach. A train and a hotel would probably be the cheapest for a longer weekend, and then stay at a place with a known beginner surf spot nearby, and maybe rent a soft-top longboard and take get educated about the basics, etc, or take lessons. In the meantime try finding a job there that your parents will let you work at, probably during the summer, so you can surf, and also try hunting down colleges near these places via your counselor.
