If your dog is barking non-stop, you can try to use the negative association method or more commonly known as the “squirt gun” method. Using one of the dog commands “No”, call out the command and squirt your dog with water when you see him barking excessively. Constant use of this method will cause your dog to associate barking as being an unpleasant experience as most dogs do not like to get wet.

Be sure that you do not wait to correct your dog after several minutes of barking. If correction is late, your dog will not understand the reason for the discipline. This could possibly provoke or may lead to undesirable side effects, such as your dog becoming fearful, shy, aggressive and even more afraid of you.

Right after your dog has stopped barking, reward him or her with a reward. By doing this, your dog will associate quietness with tasty doggie snacks and will eventually therefore learn to stop barking so much.

Finally, without a constantly barking dog, you will find your relationship with your dog grow more lovingly and affectionate. Therefore, rather than formulating a negative relationship with your canine, consider positive measures today and start training your dog not to bark!

It can be an advantage to personally take control and work with your dog on improving their obedience. It is an increasing thought that having the dog owner train their dog is the best way to go about dog training. This is down to the fact you have ultimate responsibility for the dog and will need to personally control it in the future. Developing a bond between a dog and his master is a great part of the training cycle.

One of the better quality dog training guides is Secrets To Dog Training. It’s recommended you read an independent review of Secrets To Dog Training before buying.

If it is not possible to keep your pet rabbit outdoors due to predators or harsh climate then you will need to house it in a rabbit cage or into rabbit hutches. However, there are several factors to consider before you set out to look at rabbit cages since the right cage will ensure that your rabbit snuggles down comfortably and happily within its confines instead of feeling cramped and miserable. Here are 3 factors to consider when buying rabbit cages.

The first factor is to consider all aspects related to the present and to the future of your pet rabbit’s life. Your tiny and cute rabbit is surely going to grow in size over the years and hence a large cage now will be able to take care of its future growth. Rabbits need to hop around and a large, airy cage will help prevent it from getting claustrophobic. You will also need to keep a layer of straw and a few toys along with its feeding bowl and water in its cage, and these too will occupy quite a lot of space. You should definitely buy a large cage even if it is inconvenient to carry around since your rabbit will not be happy in a tiny cage.

Back when I was a kid I won a gold fish at a fair. My mother didn’t know what to do with it . We went down to the local pet store and they told us to buy a gold fish bowl. Well, that little fish made it maybe a week or so before it died. Little did we know that all fish needed filtered water with a lot of oxygen, especially in such a small tank. If we only had a biorb aquarium I might still have that fish today. These are not just gold fish bowls these are fully complete aquariums with lights, pumps and filters specially designed for their smaller tanks.

I’ve heard this numerous times from friends of mine. I’ll have a bunch a tiny fish the size of a dime in my tank and my friends are always curious. The fact is that I bred them. Are you are an owner of a fish tank, and getting bored with just maintaining and watching your fish? Than I suggest you attempt breeding fish. This is sometimes challenging and will definitely keep you more interested in your tank. The best way to start with breeding is to gather as much information as you can about the breed of fish you wish to breed. Give it a shot you will be glad you did.

Are you thinking about buying your first fish tank?
There is a few things you should consider before buying that first fish tank. You need to make sure you buy the correct filtration system, light system and also any plants and accessories you want. You should buy these items when you buy your tank. This will make setting up your first tank much easier. I would suggest that you install these items before you add water to your new tank. This makes it much easier to get everything set up perfectly without making a big mess with water splashed over you and surrounding area.

Aquariums of different types are available in the market for sale. We have to select the aquarium based on the quality and type. Also, we should select it on the basis of our requirements and design. Before buying an aquarium, we should decide the types of fishes that we will keep in that aquarium. Then only, we can choose the better aquarium from the market. A lot of advertisements are there for selling aquarium. If you cannot find any one go for Aquariums for Sale The aquarium should be cleaned regularly for the good health of the fish and for it to last long.

The rodent family is considered as the umbrella of the chinchilla. The Andes Mountains in South America is considered to be the origin of chinchillas. The size of chinchillas may closely resemble the size of rabbits, approximately 9 inches. Their thick and soft coats of fur serve as one of their distinguishing marks. The lifespan of chinchillas ranges from 10 to 15 years. These creatures are highly active and energetic during nighttime because of their nocturnal nature.

Several pet owners would certainly fall into the lure of chinchillas. Their description as adorable companions and pets can be attributed to the density of the fur and to the absence of unpleasant odor. They also possess natural socialization skills, thus, any chinchilla owner would not have any problems in handling and playing with his or her pets.

The cages serve as an artificial and man-made habitat for the chinchillas. You should keep your chinchillas in a wire cage. The cages should also have ledges and shelves because chinchillas would naturally love to jump and climb. It is also advisable to use hardwood shavings for the flooring of the chinchilla cage. However, cedar is an exception, because of its toxicity and potential harmful effects on the pet. Chinchillas should also be provided regularly with chewing toys. However, plastic versions should be avoided to avoid getting chewed on by the chinchilla.

A drinking bottle should be found at the side of the chinchilla cage. Providing fresh and clean drinking water is one of the major responsibilities of a chinchilla owner. Avoid using plastic bottles. Everyday, chinchillas should also be fed with pellets and hay. Some pellets are also designed for rabbits and guinea pigs so you have to make sure that you are feeding your pet chinchillas with the appropriate kind of pellets. Chinchillas would also crave for treats and supplements. Cubes of Timothy or Alfalfa can be bought directly from pet stores. Make sure that you consistently feed your pet with the same brand of supplements. Their digestive system tends to get easily irritated with sudden changes.

You can see various breeds and crossbreeds of chinchillas. Gray chinchillas are the most commonly sold in pet stores. Breeders are also working on producing other mutation colors. In setting your budget in buying a chinchilla, you should also consider the breed and the color. Some colors and breeds may be more expensive than the others.

Female chinchillas remain pregnant for 111 days. A maximum of 8 chinchillas can be born at the same time from the same pregnant or mother chinchilla. A sense of sight and a coat of fur can already be noticed in chinchillas right after they are born. For seven weeks or more, baby chinchillas should not be separated from their mother. If you intend to train them to be more accepting of human touch, you can have the chinchillas handled by humans occasionally.

Regular handling is often warmly appreciated by chinchillas. They also learn to become more socialized and more responsive to human touch through regular handling. However, you must bear in mind that the ribcage of chinchillas are very fragile and you need to be cautious and careful when you are handling them. It’s possible that some Rottweilers were originally used for hunting, but the modern Rottweiler is relatively slow and lack hunting instincts. Traditionally, Rottweilers were used to pull livestock to market and slaughter. Today Rottweilers are used as search and rescue dogs, guild dogs for blind people, assistance dogs, guard dogs, police dogs in addition to some of these traditional roles. They make terrific pets and companion dogs. Rottweiler Breeders sell them at reasonable prices and they will be a great addition to your family.

Onions and garlic are definitely not the best dog foodfor our pets. These contain the toxic ingredient thiosulphate. Of the two, onions are more of a danger.
If a dog has onion toxicity it will develop haemolytic anaemia, which is where the dog’s red blood cells burst while circulating in its body. The noticeable symptoms include labored breathing, vomiting, diarrhea, and discolored urine. Kidney damage occurs. All forms of onion can be a problem including dehydrated onions, raw onions, cooked onions and table scraps containing cooked onions and/or garlic. We need to keep in mind that even the innocent piece of left over pizza or Chinese food can cause illness.
