Can teens go camping alone with friends in CA?

My friends and I (14-16) want to go camping this spring break somewhere in California near the ocean. We want to camp close to a city (not in the middle of the wilderness). Is there a law that prevents teenagers from camping without parents?

There is probably not a law against it.
But seriously, this is not wise or safe …
If you really are against parents being involved … then how about talking to a friend that is around 30 or so, perhaps a married couple in their early 30’s, to go along with you?

I know you all think you are plenty old and mature enough to do this alone, and maybe you are, but there are many many things that can and do happen unexpectedly … by nature, or other people, or dissension within the group itself, that are best handled and anticipated by people with more life experience.

I am thinking your parents probably won’t like the idea of you being out alone either … but maybe they would go for a third party chaperone, like a couple from church, or a scoutmaster, or some trusted friends.

Please be wise, and safe, and prepared.

Real camping in maine prefer island.?

I used to go camping on the harbor islands in Boston. They we’re great right off the ocean real camping no stupid campground with showers and cable internet. I am looking for a similar place to camp in southern maine. Prefer a island on the ocean. I like to fish for my food while i camp dig clams pick muscles. Any ideas? For islands ferry transportation or some other means of getting ot the island is required.

one of my favorite spots is Isle Au Haut–its actuaaly an island but part of acadia national park–requires a mailboat ferry to get to and then its all yours–its a little further north than southern maine but well worth it

how can i get stright hair after being in a pool or ocean?

i have pretty straight hair, but with some waves in it, i go to camp and the beach a lot then i want to hang out with friends and not take the time to wash and blow dry my hair. i also dont want to put a pony tail in or anything, i just want to leave my hair, down, its shoulder length and kind of thin

are there any ways i can just have it be straight after i get out of the ocean or pool, any hair products or anything would be great

you should always bring a brush so that you can brush your hair. After, you should do what you do and in the end, your hair will be kind of straight and dry.
