Where is the best place in the East to camp, preferably in the mountains?

Possibly near the ocean. A national park would be nice.

Prince Gallitzin State Park in Pa is nice for family camping. Camper sites with electricity and a beautiful lake.

Haven’t camped there, but Falsecape State Park south of VA Beach can only be reached by water or hiking. I know you can find info about it on the net. search for Sandbridge, Va. We kayaked the Back Bay near there. It’s very primitive and away from the tourist areas, but close enough to enjoy both.
