Ocean side camping available at Folley Beach in SC?
August 1st, 2009 | by admin |We are looking for an inexpensive weekend getaway to the Charleston area. Have lived in Asheville for 12 years and never been. Shameful, I know. Any suggestions for a nice, safe, clean, family oriented campground at the beach? Someone mentioned one that had a water park attached to it. Hmm, any ideas? Thanks in advance!
I could be wrong but I don’t think there is any actual camping allowed at the beaches. Folly Beach does have a county park with a shelter for parties, cookouts etc. Probably too big for just a family. James Island co. park has cabin rentals but it’s not on the beach. It also has a waterpark along with Wannamaker park. Go to ccprc.com for info on the parks. You may be able to rent a small house at Folly. Not sure how much you want to pay. The other area beaches will be much more expensive.
