Should All States Require Helmets?

February 17th, 2010 | by admin |

Many motorcycle riders dislike having to wear a helmet. They feel that it takes away from the joy and freedom of riding a motorcycle that they desire. But the reality is that when riding a motorcycle you are not as safe as when driving in a car.

So should motorcycle riders be required to wear helmets in all states?

- Helmets do save lives. Just like when a driver in a car wears their seat belt, a motorcycle rider has more protection when wearing their helmet.

- Having a helmet law increases the number of riders that will wear one. Many people don’t want to break the law and so if a law is passed they will wear a helmet.

So if a helmet law is passed more riders will wear them resulting in more lives being saved in motorcycle accidents.

If you have been injured in a motorcycle accident that was not your fault you should strongly consider hiring a personal Injury Lawyer in Los Angeles
